Michael Platt, a 13-year-old from Washington, D.C opened his own bakery called Michael’s Desserts. Michael has always loved baking and at the age of 11 he decided to start his business. Aside from being a young entrepreneur, Michael also used his bakery to share kindness with those in need. Michael’s Desserts operates on a one-to-one giving model. For every cupcake sold Michael donates a cupcake to a homeless person at a local shelter. He makes one big delivery to the shelter every month.
