Guinness adjudicator stood off to the side and clicked off everyone as they entered the water to get an accurate headcount.
Divers of all ages came out to set the record and clean up the ocean. Metal signs, fishing nets and over 1,600 pounds of fishing weights were a few of the things pulled from the ocean floor.
While many were very proud to set a Guinness World Record in the process, one man summed it up best. “What really matters is that everyone is out there cleaning up around the pier and trying to improve the community.”
