An American Soldier and a French Woman Fell in Love During the War. 75 Years Later They Were United Once Again.

“I always loved you. You never got out of my heart.”

This is truly a beautiful story. In 1944, American Soldier K.T Robbins was fighting in France during WWII. While there he met and fell in love with a French girl, Jeannine Ganaye. They were separated when Robbins unit was transferred to fight on the Eastern front. Robbins believed he would never see Ganaye again, all he had to remember her by was a black and white photo he still has to this day.

Last week Robbins returned to France as the last surviving member of his unit for the 75th anniversary of D-Day. While there he was interviewed by a French news station. While speaking with them he pulled out the black and white photo of his lost love, Jeannine. Robbins mentioned that while he was sure that she had passed, he desired to meet her family if any were around. After some investigating the news reporter returned with the wonderful news that Jeannine was still alive. What happened next is best viewed. Watch the video below for the incredible reunion.
