Each week at Find The Good we will be highlighting a regional or national Non-Profit Organization that is doing good work in their community. Throughout the week we will tell their story and share some of the great work they are doing. You can submit nominees for NPO of the Week here.
This week’s Non-Profit of the Week is the Kentucky based children’s charity, The Toy Chest. Founded in 2011 the Toy Chest’s mission is to provide toys, books, clothing and other items vital to the healthy development of children in underserved areas around Kentucky.
The Toy Chest is much more than a Christmas charity, although they do a ton to make sure thousands of children have Christmas every year. Notably The Toy Chest awards the Priscilla K. Gray Service Learning Grant, named after one of The Toy Chest’s founding board members which funds service projects for children to help serve other children in their communities.
We will be sharing stories about the great work that The Toy Chest does throughout the week, but if you would like to learn more you can visit their website here.
