In 1991 a couple purchased 55 acres of deforested land. They turned it into a thriving rainforest.

“I remember when you would walk through the forest and you would hear nothing but the sound of your own feet, now this place is alive with sound.

What was once abandoned farm land in India is now one of the most bio-diverse regions in the world, all thanks to the a couple who purchased the land in 1991 and spent 20 years nursing it back to life.

What is now know as the Sai Sanctuary, was a dying land when Pamela and Anil Malhotra purchased it. They dedicated their life to reforesting the area and turning it into a nature sanctuary. I would say they far exceeded even their wildest expectations. It really has to be seen to be believed. In the words of Ian Malcolm, “life finds a way.”
