“Kids who are told about all the things they aren’t old enough to do, saved the life of the most precious and beloved woman we know,”
4 Oklahoma teens, aged 14 – 17 were outside when they noticed smoke billowing from inside the home of their elderly neighbor. Without regard for their own safety 3 of the teens rushed into the home while another ran to call 911. The 3 boys found the 90-year-old woman, Catherine Ritchie in the hallway of her home disoriented by the heavy smoke filling her home. One of the boys grabbed Ms. Ritchie and carried her out of the home.
You can find more information about these 4 heroic teenagers at the link below. I am impressed by their instincts to spring to action. The measure of a hero is how you respond in a crisis, and these boys didn’t let fear stop them from acting, and in doing so they no doubt saved a life.
