Refugee family that 10 years ago fled violence in the Congo now have a place to call home.

“What has happened today is because of love. This country has love. The people have love,”

Congolese family that fled violence in their country in 2009 now has a home of their very own, thanks to Habitat for Humanity.

After spending several years in different refugee camps the Shabani family were finally able to come to America in 2016 in search of peace and the American dream. Now thanks to Habitat for Humanity, and 500 hours of work, the Shabani family have a place of their own, a place of stability.
